Privacy Policy

Wedding Brain (“we”, “us”) makes a pricing and quoting tool for solo wedding vendors — videographers, photographers and content creators. This policy explains what we collect through the app at weddingbrain.com.au, why, and how you can have it corrected or deleted. We handle this the way we’d want our own numbers handled: nothing sold, nothing shared beyond what running the tool requires.
What we collect
When you use Wedding Brain, we hold:
- Account details — your name and email address, via our sign-in provider (Clerk).
- Business details — your business name and the vendor type you select (videographer, photographer, or content creator).
- The figures you enter— your fixed costs, income targets, tax and super settings, package pricing, add-ons, miscellaneous expenses, and any quotes you build. This is the same kind of financial planning data an accountant would hold for you, and it’s the whole point of the tool.
- Payment and subscription status — once payments go live, whether your subscription is active, handled by our payment provider (Shopify). We do not see or store your card details ourselves.
We don’t run any advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookies set are the ones our sign-in provider needs to keep you logged in.
Why we collect it
Solely to run the tool for you: to save your settings and packages between visits, to calculate the numbers you see on screen, and to manage your subscription once payments are live. We don’t use your figures for anything beyond your own account — they’re never used to train models, benchmark other customers against you, or shown to anyone else.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of specialist providers to run Wedding Brain, each holding only what they need to do their job:
- Clerk — authentication (your login and session).
- Neon — our database host, where your account, settings, and package data live.
- Vercel — hosts the application itself.
- Shopify — handles checkout and subscription billing.
- Google Workspace — our business email, if you contact support.
Every business’s data is isolated from every other business’s at the database level — one customer’s figures are never visible to another. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for a reasonable period in case you return, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time — see Contact below.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we’ll action it — most requests we can complete within a few days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access to the database and hosting accounts is restricted to the people running Wedding Brain. No system is unbreakable, but we treat your figures with the same care as our own.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, email you directly.
